Earthquake Today is a real-time earthquake tracker that provides users with seismic data, push notifications, and related informational content. The Service is available via our website and mobile application. Features include real-time earthquake feeds, map visualisation, push notification alerts, email alerts, and cloud-synced user profiles.

2. User Accounts

To access certain features of the mobile app (such as Cloud Sync, Push Notifications, and Email Alerts), you may be required to create an account. You are responsible for:

• Providing accurate and complete registration information.
• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• All activities that occur under your account.

You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. We will remove your data from our systems within 30 days of such a request.

3. Disclaimer of Warranty

The information provided by Earthquake Today, including all seismic data, is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While we strive for accuracy, we make no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, as to the completeness, accuracy, reliability, or timeliness of the data.

The data is for informational purposes only and must not be used for making life-or-death decisions, emergency response, or any other critical applications. Always rely on official government agencies and emergency management services for disaster response information.

4. Push Notifications & Email Alerts

By enabling push notifications or email alerts in the mobile app, you consent to receive automated earthquake alert messages on your device or via email. You may opt out of these at any time through your in-app Settings. We are not liable for any delays or failures in the delivery of notifications caused by network outages, device settings, or third-party services.

5. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall Earthquake Today, nor its owners or operators, be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your access to, use of, or inability to use the Service; any reliance you place on the data provided; any missed or delayed push notifications; or any content obtained from the Service, whether based on warranty, contract, tort (including negligence), or any other legal theory.

6. Third-Party Data & Services

The Service utilises data from the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) and the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC-CSEM), as well as infrastructure services from Google Firebase. We do not control and are not responsible for the accuracy, availability, or timeliness of data provided by these third-party sources.

7. Permitted Use

You agree not to use the Service in any way that is unlawful or harms Earthquake Today or its users. You may not:

• Scrape, crawl, or automatically extract data from the Service without prior written permission.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the mobile application.
• Use the Service to send spam or unsolicited messages.
• Engage in any activity that interferes with or disrupts the Service.

8. App Store Terms

If you download our mobile application from Apple App Store or Google Play Store, you also agree to the applicable terms and conditions of those platforms. These Terms are between you and Earthquake Today only — Apple and Google are not parties to this agreement and bear no responsibility for the app or its content.
